In practice you get further than that number suggests, because a real dry is bursts and repositioning rather than the trigger held down for twenty straight minutes. Yes, and that is the point of it. Nothing physically touches the surface, so there is no mechanism for a swirl mark or a scratch — those come from grit trapped in a towel being dragged across the clear coat. Air alone cannot do that.
